The events that intertwine and contribute to the birth of this company are closely linked to the history of the Venetian territory and Paolo\u2019s family. Here he saw the choices of strong women take charge of the fate of a family.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

His grandmother Blandina, born in Pila on the Po\u2019s Delta (a little town which is in this magical place and suspended in time) opened her own restaurant immediately after the end of the war. \u201cLocanda Blandina\u201d, became well known in Italy amongst enthusiasts of hunting and fishing, along with VIP\u2019s of the film industry and other starlets.<\/p>

During the \u201cDolce Vita\u201d, Roberto Rossellini stayed at Blandina in Pila, for the filming of \u201cPais\u00e0\u201d, Silvana mangano for \u201cBitter Rice\u201d and Sofia Loren for \u201cThe woman of the river\u201d. In Pila during that time you could eat only delta fish and rice, two dishes in which\u201cthe blandina\u201d
was unsurpassed.<\/p>

Paolo was born in these scenarios of unusual charm, where he learns to go to sea on a small boat always accompanied by his dog Tot\u00f2 and aunt Trieste, followed by that typical love veined with quiet apprehension that only grandparents can donate.<\/p>

Learned from \u201cBlandina\u201d the pleasure of welcoming actors, fishermen, politicians, and commoners, treating them all as if they were royalty. A destiny of hard work and ardent patience, brought together the women of that time and no sacrifice was spared.<\/p>

Their greatest reward was to give their children the little comforts they could not have. The Po Delta, especially at that time, was more than a geographical place: it was a border where anything could happen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

It was in this context where Paul\u2019s mother learned the trade, by going to the inn offering her services grandmother Blandina. And so blandina and luigina became friends and accomplices as well as mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.<\/p>

The emergence of the Mediterranean Anemia, a disease that affected people living in humid areas, forced Luigina with her husband Mirco and the young Paolo to move to the inland.<\/p>

In Vicenza Luigina followed her destiny and put into practice what he had learned in the now distant inn of the delta.<\/p>

Together with her brother Savier and Mariangela, and with the aid of her husband and the young Paul, she set up what would become the famous Trattoria Pontealto, point of reference for anyone who was looking for a tasty meal but especially offering a simple and sincere smile welcoming pratrons from a foreign place.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

To everyone\u2019s surprise, at that time, her husband Mirco came into possession of a rudimentary leather sewing machine and began to produce small leather objects and with commitment and perspicacity became a real workshop. Paul enjoyed dividing himself among the inn\u2019s patrons and helping his father with the new business. It was precisely in this way that Paul, building on such diverse experiences, perfected that art of communicating beyond words, condensing in his creations the insight of his father and the solid practicality of the women of his life.<\/p>

Feeling such a strong attachment to this land not land, growning up in this heartfelt place in where the boundaries between land and water, river and sea oblige people toward continuous adaptation. Paul, similar to the people of those places, developed that typical volitional character of those who are accustomed to confront changing realities.<\/p>
